We all remember a favorite gift we received as a child. A bike. A toy. But for some children, the greatest gift imaginable is the gift of a loving parent. This is what Gift for a Child, Inc. is all about. Seeing the joy in a child’s eyes after they’ve been adopted. The look that says “someone cares about me”. For newly adopted children and their parents, it’s a whole new life. Our goal at Gift for a Child is to connect children who are waiting and hoping to be adopted with adoptive parents throughout the Southeast.

Gift for a Child, Inc. is run by people who know what they’re doing. By adoptive parents, child welfare advocates and professionals and volunteers who have devoted their time, energy and resources for the love of children.

Our most effective tool in the quest to find homes for legally free foster children is The Heart Gallery, a traveling exhibit featuring museum-quality photographs of children in foster care. The photography is donated by local photographers out of the goodness of the hearts and captures a full range of emotions and expressions from these wonderful children. They aren’t merely photographs. They’re portraits that bring out the inner beauty of the kids. Which may be why the Heart Gallery has been so successful in other states and has been featured on news and other television programs on many different networks as well as in national newspapers.
